When you share two-to-four years of your life with a group of friends, instructors and mentors, it’s only natural to want those relationships to continue. That is why so many of your fellow alumni are connecting with SFA and supporting the SFA Alumni Association by joining local alumni Chapters.
Alumni and friends have come together through these organized chapters across the state and country in the spirit of SFA. Incredible social, fundraising and networking opportunities are available to Chapter members. Local Chapters provide SFA alumni, friends and parents the opportunity to play a positive role in the future of SFA and the SFA Alumni Association.
What do Chapters do? Chapters operate at various levels of activity and sponsor events such as Freshman Send-Off Parties, family picnics, Coaches Night, Legislative Day in Austin, golf tournaments, networking luncheons, “Happy Hour” socials, receptions and tailgate parties in Lumberjack Alley and at away games. They also help promote SFA in their local communities.
We’d love for you to locate your local Chapter and get involved. The local Chapter coordinators will gladly welcome new faces to their groups! If there is not a Chapter near you, consider getting some fellow alums and SFA friends together and starting one. Emily Payne ’99 & ’01 serves as the Chapter Coordinator for the SFA Alumni Association, and she’ll be more than happy to visit with you about Chapter information.
