College at SFA is amazing, if I do say so myself. Although stressful at times, there is always something to get involved in to “distract” your brain from collapsing. As a freshman, you are not quite sure what to expect when Homecoming comes around. You have had your own homecomings in high school, but that, in no way, compares to what comes at college. I started the week of homecoming in very high spirits. The events that were planned for that week were, to say the least, amazing. I went to five of the many events of Homecoming at SFA, those being the Pre-torch parade, the torch parade, the pep rally, the town parade, and the football game. I never thought that I would be able to see as many students as I did so pumped up for their football team and their school. To everyone who participated in the Friday night and Saturday festivities, I applaud you. The staff at SFA made homecoming a very memorable event for all the students involved and to top it off, our SFA Lumberjacks beat Sam Houston for the first time in many years!
