Lumberjacks look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament Saturday against Sam Houston

The SFA Lumberjacks will square off against Sam Houston Saturday as they look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament

The SFA Lumberjacks will take on Sam Houston State Saturday at the Leonard E. Merrell Center in Katy, TX at 3 p.m. in the Southland Conference Tournament title game that will air nationally on ESPN2. The winner will capture the Southland Conference Tournament Crown and earn the Southland Conference automatic bid to the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

SFA Alumni and Fans in and around the Houston are encouraged to spend their Saturday in Katy and cheer on the Lumberjacks in person to support the effort to get more fans in the stands then Sam Houston. The SFA Alumni Association will host a pre-game rally in front of the Merrell Center beginning at 1:30pm. The first 100 Lumberjack Fans in attendance at the pre-game rally will receive a free t-shirt.

For alumni and fans unable to attend the game in person, alumni game watch parties in Austin, Dallas, Nacogdoches, and Tyler have been scheduled for alumni and fans in those areas to get together and watch the game. The game is at 3pm CST and will air nationally on ESPN2.

Join other SFA Alumni and Fans to watch the Lumberjacks as they try to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament as they take on Sam Houston in the Southland Conference Tournament Championship. The game tips off at 3:00pm and will be televised on ESPN2. So get your SFA gear, wear purple, and visit with other alumni and cheer on the Jacks!
