Q: What is the Tuition Raffle?

A: Each semester the SFA Alumni Association puts on a tuition raffle for students to have a chance to win up to 12 credit hours of in-state tuition only for the semester.

 

Q: How much are tickets?

A: Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25

 

Q: Who is eligible to enter the raffle?

A: Any freshman through graduate student registered at SFA for the Fall 2020 semester.

 

Q: What is new this semester?

A: We are NOT mailing tickets and forms to permanent address. We will instead send emails to student accounts and promote on our social media channels.

 

Q: How much can my student win?

A: Up to 12 credit hours of in-state tuition for the semester. If a student is only taking 9 hours they will only win 9 hours of tuition or if the student is taking 18 hours they will still only win 12 hours of tuition.

 

Q: When is the cut-off to enter the raffle?

A: Entries and full payment must be made by Oct. 10, 2020.

 

Q: If I purchase all 6 tickets do I have to completely fill out each entry?

A: Yes, entries must be completely filled out or will not be accepted. (Phone jacks can fill out entries for parents requesting them over the phone.)

 

Q: How can I pay for the tickets?

A: By check, money order or credit card. Cash is not accepted. Full payment must be postmarked by Oct. 2, 2020.

A: We are offering online orders through Oct. 10, 2020. ORDER ONLINE HERE. The information supplied on the form will be transferred by our office to your physical tickets and added to the hopper.

 

Q: When is the drawing going to be held?

A: Oct 14, 2020

 

Q: Can I buy more than 6 tickets?

A: Yes, you can purchase as many as you would like. For more entries please call our office at 936-468-3407 and we’ll take your additional payment and complete your entries for you over the phone or you can order online.

 

Q: Can I attend the drawing?

A: Yes, the drawing will take place at 10 a.m. in the Tracie D. Pearman Alumni Center on campus. The drawing will be filmed.

 

Q: How will I know if my student won?

A: Once the winning ticket is drawn, we will determine the class schedule of the student and try to surprise them as quickly as possible while they are in class with the professor's permission.
