fall semester began today, and campus is buzzing with students.
Football season has arrived, too, and the SFA Alumni Association invites
you to "get your purple on" in support of the Lumberjacks! Join fellow
fans for alumni tailgates on campus at Alumni Corner, or catch
on-the-road tailgates in Dallas, Houston, San Marcos and Lake Charles,

SEPT. 8, 4:30PM - 6:30 p.m., Game at 7 p.m.
The
SFA alumni and fans tailgate spot will be located in the Boulevard
across University Boulevard from Anette Caldwell Simmons Hall at the
corner of Airline Rd. and University Blvd. Barbeque will be served along with beer, tea, and water. Free for the first 1,000 alumni and fans!

TOUCHDOWN CLUB OF HOUSTON ATHLETIC LUNCHEON
OCT. 3 noon - 1 p.m.
Tickets are available to an
athletic luncheon in Houston featuring SFA head football coach J.C.
Harper and Sam Houston head football coach Willie Fritz. The luncheon
will be at the J.W. Marriott at 5150 Westheimer near the Galleria.
Tickets are $45 each and $450 for a table of 10. For tickets, contact

be Channel 13 sports director Bob Allen, an SFA grad and Channel 2

Join the SFA Alumni Association during SFA Homecoming weekend, Oct. 19 -
21! Enjoy favorite activities like the football game and downtown
parade, plus many new events like the frisbee golf tournament, bonfire

DUCK DASH & JUNIOR JACKS DUCK PLUCK
OCT. 20, noon
The 22nd annual Duck Dash
is noon, Oct. 20 near the Ag Pond. Don't miss your chance to win great
prizes by sponsoring a racing toy duck! The grand prize is a $1,000 gift
card from Jack Backers College Bookstore. Proceeds from funds raised
benefit SFA Alumni Association scholarships. Sponsor your ducks here.
