Six Freshman Send-Off Parties are being hosted by the SFA Alumni Association Chapters for new SFA freshmen from their hometowns. The events start Aug. 7 in San Antonio. Simply locate the chapter event in your area and RSVP. This is a great opportunity to meet other new Lumberjacks from your hometown area.
A $100 SFA Barnes & Noble Bookstore Textbook Scholarship will be given away at each Send-Off Party.
Also, freshmen who attend their respective Send-Off Party can enter into a drawing for one $1,000 scholarship from Jack Backers College Bookstore. One incoming SFA freshman will be selected from all event attendees as the winner of this year’s Send-Off Party scholarship.
Aug. 10 -- Longview Chapter’s "Freshman Send-Off Party” 6-8 p.m. at Papacita’s Mexican Restaurant, 305 West Loop 281 in Longview; $10 per person (new freshman students are FREE!)
