SFA-Montana game set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Missoula 'Jacks headed to Missoula to face Grizzlies in second-round matchup

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team advanced to the
second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs with their thrilling 44-33
victory Saturday over Eastern Washington. The 'Jacks will now turn
their attention to top-seeded Montana, The game against the Grizzlies
is slated to begin at noon (1 p.m. Nacogdoches time) Saturday from
Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
Saturday's contest will pit two conference champions against
each other. SFA recorded its first Southland Conference title since
1999, with a 9-2 regular-season record. SFA will be facing the Big Sky
Conference champ, Montana (12-0), who enters the game as the brackets
lone undefeated team.
Washington-Grizzly Stadium is the venue of the Lumberjacks last
playoff game prior to the 2009 season. SFA advanced to the semifinals
of the 1995 playoffs, but lost to eventual National Champion Montana
that season.
The Lumberjacks enter Saturday's game with a 10-2 (.833)
overall record, which is only the fourth time in school history that
SFA has posted double-figure wins in a season.
