The SFA Alumni Association has nearly 900 scholarships that it awards each year. More than $1 million in scholarships and awards was awarded to students in recent years.

Donate to an Existing Scholarship. You may make a donation to a scholarship by clicking Make a Donation and you will be re-directed to the page to access our secure, online donation area. As part of the donation process, you will be asked to insert the name of the scholarship to which you are making a donation.

How to Start a Scholarship

The SFA Alumni Association awards scholarships through the SFA Scholarship Fund that is administered by the SFA Alumni Foundation. Scholarships are endowed by cash, gifts, corporate matching gifts, gifts of stock, bonds, life insurance, memorial contributions and wills.

More than $20 million has been contributed to the SFA Scholarship Fund by thousands of former students and friends to assist future students in achieving their goals of a college education.

Alumni scholarships make it possible for students to enjoy all college life has to offer by helping relieve some financial burdens. The association has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and awards to students during recent academic years.

To create a scholarship:
--A minimum of $20,000 is required to endow a scholarship and can be accomplished over a five-year period.
--A "full" scholarship is endowed with $100,000.
--Complete a Scholarship Endowment Agreement Form (available from the association office.)
--Recipient criteria are established at the discretion of the donor.
--For publicity purposes, submit biographical information and the photo of the person/group in whose name the scholarship is created.
--Checks must be made payable to the SFA Alumni Foundation.
