Mission: The Stephen F. Austin State University Alumni Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the alumni, friends and current students of Stephen F. Austin State University through programs, scholarships and activities that create an attitude of continued loyalty and support.
- Alumni Association is a separate 501c(3) organization; established in December 1928
- Alumni Foundation is a separate 501c(3) organization; incorporated in December 1970
- Executive Director for Alumni Affairs is the CEO/Executive Director of both the Association and Foundation and answers to the university president and both alumni boards.

SFA Scholarship Fund, the Mentor Ring program, the Big Dip ring presentation ceremony, Homecoming & Lumberjack Bash, Lumberjack Alley, Mardi Gras Madness, Ladyjack Academic Shootout, Celebration of Excellence, Mr. & Miss SFA, Alumni Chapters, Outstanding Graduate Awards, Outstanding Young Alumnus Award, Distinguished Professor Award, Distinguished Alumnus Award, Alumni Hall of Fame Award, Class Reunions, Academic receptions, Conferences, President’s Club, Freshman & Senior Send-Off Parties, Austin Day, Student Foundation Association, ShopSFA.com and Sawdust alumni magazine. Continue connection with current students through participation in SFA 101 and Orientation programs, classroom teaching and utilizing student interns in office operations.
- Newer Programs
-- Major gift solicitation. Active, cooperative partner in the $37 million “Share the Legacy: The Campaign for SFA.” Recipient of $3.5 million cash gift from Dr. Vera Dugas Estate, largest cash gift in university history.
-- Austin Scholars Endowment. Scholarship endowment aimed at recruiting National Merit finalists and semifinalists
- Highlights & Awards: Member of Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE), College Alumni Directors of Texas (CADT), Council of Alumni Marketing & Membership Professionals (CAMMP) and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Received CASE awards for the past nine years for alumni programs, governmental relations programs, advertising, writing and photography.

- Chapter Program:
-- 20 Chapters: Austin, Beaumont, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Longview, Tyler, San Antonio, Victoria, Coastal Bend/Corpus Christi, Arizona, Oklahoma and Ohio. Special Interest Chapters: African-American, Agriculture, Rugby, Nursing, ROTC, SFA Faculty/Staff, Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity
